Ludwig Güttler as a soloist on trumpet and Corno da Caccia is one of the most successful virtuosos of our time.
Through his diverse sphere of activities he has also acquired a worldwide reputation as a conductor, researcher, organizer and promoter.
After completing his studies in Leipzig he followed the call of the Handel Festival Orchestra Halle as principal trumpet
and from 1969-1980 to the Dresden Philharmonic.
Lectureships took him to the International Music Seminar in Weimar and as a Professor to the Dresden University of Music.
He directs opera productions and master classes and is a regular jury member at important competitions.
As a soloist and conductor Ludwig Güttler inspires at home and abroad.
There are more than fifty highly acclaimed recordings, on which he operates as a chamber musician, soloist and conductor.
Since the early eighties he is particularly interested in the revival of the Saxon court music of the 18th century.
Thanks to Güttler's researches the concert literature could be enriched by many forgotten or previously unknown works of this period.
Güttler has contributed significantly to the redevelopment of the Corno da caccia.
In 1976 he founded the "Leipziger Bach-Collegium", 1978 the "Brass Ensemble Ludwig Güttler"

The venue: the Lutheran Church in Wetter
The Lutheran Church in Wetter - because of its exceptional size and monumentality also called Ruhrtaler Cathedral -
was built between 1904 and 1906 in the Gothic Revival style with reference to Romanesque forms.
The construction was the outstanding task at the beginning of the 20th century for the church.
After extensive renovation in the years 1994 to 2004, the house of God now shines in new splendor.
The special acoustics of this monument turns every concert into a very special experience.

If you have accessed this page via the Internet address

you might wonder why the internet site of the company Development and Art is displayed.
Therefore please allow me, Torsten Mühlhoff, an explanatory note, why the two Internet addresses
www.wir-in-wetter.de
and
www.development-and-art.de
refer to the same content.
Since time immemorial, I live in the beautiful Wetter at the Ruhr.
No professional career could induce me to turn back to my home.
Whether for leisure or business: to commit oneself for beautiful and valuable - that is, owning an intrinsic value - topics,
is a major concern.
Privately this means, for example, the commitment in the
Ev.-luth. Kirchengemeinde Wetter (Ruhr),
in the
Rotary Club Wetter-Herdecke Ruhrtal
or in the Community of Artists
Diversity of Art's.
But also from a professional point of view - and ever since the founding of my company Development and Art in July 2014 -
there is a strong reference to my hometown,
which - in this particular case - manifests itself in the planning and execution of this special event.
"Wir in Wetter" - "We in Wetter" - stands for the idea of contributing to the positive development of our city
and for a beautiful life in the Harkortstadt.
